Invites Community to second Annual T-Off-4 Tuition Cocktail Reception and Golf Benefit

ST. CROIX, U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS — The Make It Happen Foundation, Inc. is inviting the community to support the Second Annual T-Off-4 Tuition Golf Benefit, a two-day fundraising event supporting Virgin Islands students pursuing higher education, vocational training, and trade certifications.

The weekend begins with an elegant Island-Chic Cocktail Reception ($75) on Saturday, August 22, 2026, followed by the T-Off-4 Tuition Golf Benefit ($175) on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the beautiful Carambola Golf Club on St. Croix. Proceeds from both events go entirely toward scholarships.

The Make It Happen Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to empowering Virgin Islands youth through scholarships, mentorship, life skills development, and educational support. Proceeds from the event will help reduce financial barriers for students working toward college degrees, vocational training, and trade certifications.

The Foundation is already seeing the positive impact of its scholarship program. Its first scholarship recipient, Gelysia Anderson, graduated from Howard University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and has been accepted into the University of Maryland to pursue her master's degree. The Foundation's second scholarship recipient, J'Neolise Green, is a sophomore at Winston-Salem State University in North Carolina, where she is pursuing her bachelor's degree in Social Work.

Most importantly, both scholarship recipients are committed to returning home to St. Croix after completing their education to use their knowledge and skills to serve the Virgin Islands community. Their commitment embodies the Make It Happen Foundation's long-term vision of cultivating future professionals who will return home, invest their talents in the Virgin Islands, and help build a stronger, more robust future for the Territory.

The weekend will bring together business leaders, community partners, golfers, and supporters for two memorable events with a shared purpose: investing in the future of Virgin Islands students. Guests attending Saturday’s Island-Chic Cocktail Reception will enjoy an evening of entertainment, music, an array of finger foods and desserts, and a signature cocktail, all included with the $75 admission. Guests can also enter for a chance to win exciting raffle prizes.

Sunday’s Golf Benefit will offer a day of friendly competition while raising funds for scholarships and other educational assistance for Virgin Islands students. The $175 golfer registration includes a day of golf, breakfast, lunch, and special gifts & prizes for participants and winners.

“Our mission extends beyond awarding scholarships,” said Nykole Tyson, Founder and President of the Make It Happen Foundation. “With the community’s support, we are investing in the future of the Virgin Islands by helping our students pursue their educational goals and preparing them to return home to make a meaningful difference in our community. Every ticket purchased, every sponsorship secured, and every donation received helps make that possible. It takes a village, and together, we are that village.”
