Our Founder
Nykole Tyson
A visionary media and community advocate from St. Croix, US Virgin Islands. Nykole's journey began at St. Croix Educational Complex High School and led to a Bachelor’s in Mass Communication from William McDaniel College, Maryland, with minors in Business and Journalism.
Nykole has brought her storytelling skills to BET Weekend Magazine and marketing expertise to Black Entertainment Television. She has produced shows for CBS-TV2, Caribbean Television Network TEMPO, and freelanced for Maryland Public Television and Virgin Islands Public Television. A dedicated public servant, Nykole was the Director of Communications & Researcher for a U.S. Virgin Islands senator for eight years, pioneering key legislations and exploring mainland cannabis initiatives.
In healthcare, Nykole served as Territorial Director of Public Relations for the U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Health, earning CDC recognition for her public communication efforts, featured on the CDC Blog. Her PR initiatives spanned St. Croix, St. Thomas, and St. John. In 2011, Nykole founded NT Media Productions, creating the globally acclaimed TV show, "I'm Making It Happen®," reaching audiences in 19 countries, five states, and Toronto, Canada. She also hosts a weekly live radio show, establishing herself as a prominent media entrepreneur.
Beyond her professional work, Nykole has mentored students since 2009 and leads The Make It Happen Foundation, Inc., empowering young minds for a brighter future. Guided by the motto, "Don’t wait for someone to discover you; discover your own self," Nykole Tyson continues to inspire and impact communities locally and globally.
